Install

OTAware is designed for quick installation, typically on a DIN rail. Power requirements: 12-24V, 1.5A

Once OTAware is plugged in and turned on, your engineer needs to configure it to talk to your PLC or other industrial controller. Then, they need to tell OTAware about all of the tags and I/O point internal to the PLC. The entire installation + configuration process usually takes an hour or less. Then, your engineer just has to tell it to collect data, and walk away!

Learn

Once OTAware has seen your entire process for a while (a few hours to a few days, depending on the application), your engineer then comes back and tells OTAware the timestamps that indicate normal operation - where nothing bad happened. They do this through a drag-and-drop interface that allows them to indicate exactly what normal looks like to OTAware - even if there were a few false starts. Then, they just need to tell OTAware to train its internal model, and start monitoring - that's it!

Monitor

In monitoring mode, OTAware constantly checks whether the data it's receiving from the controller looks like normal operation using the internal model it learned from your engineer. When something goes wrong, OTAware will see indications of that in the controller data and will alarm, letting your team know they need to focus on this piece of equipment. They can then ask OTAware what it thinks the most out-of-line signals are, informing them immediately on what they should pay attention to first, and showing them everything that was happening when the issue popped up.
